Glass Door Bookcase

The client contacted Mr. Szczepanski to make a piece of furniture out of a willow oak tree from her front yard that was struck by lightning. The challenge was that she didn't know what she wanted yet. Together we found a local sawyer, and after assessing how much usable wood there was, he came up with this glass door bookcase, inspired by one she had in her old work office. The bookcase features 100% solid oak, hand carved headpiece, and tongue and groove back.
